This village on the Cotentin peninsula was made famous during the night of 5-6 June 1944, during the American Air Landing.
Distance: 35min – 45km
The soldier Steele, an American paratrooper, was then hanging from the bell tower of the village church. Today, the mannequin and his parachute hanging from the church steeple are a reminder of past events.
Close to the church is the Airborne Museum, which offers an exhibition dedicated to the Landing of the 82nd US Airborne Division.
